FAQs

  • We've been working hard to comply with LA County protocols which include:

    — All machines have been moved to accommodate social distancing.

    — Foot loops have been replaced with vinyl loops that can be sanitized.

    — Space is limited to one trainer + client(s) per room.

    — Pod class is limited to a maximum of 6 people.

    — All rooms have 2-4 windows that allows for fresh air.

  • Masks are optional for all clients per LA County Health.

  • While Yoga is spiritual and more holistic in practice, Pilates concentrates on cultivating core strength in the body and lengthening the spine - building a longer, leaner, dancer-like physique. Pilates has a full component of mat work and also incorporates work on Pilates machines.

  • Ideally, Pilates is practiced 3 times per week. However, everyone’s schedule is different and even beginning with one session and adding more sessions when you can will be beneficial. As with most fitness practices, you will see better results and more quickly the more sessions you attend.

  • While we no longer offer remote classes, our pilates videos can also be found on our Grace Anatomy Pilates YouTube Channel.

  • Not at all. Anyone can begin Pilates and at any level of fitness. We will meet you where you are.

  • Mat work focuses on your core and requires you to support your body. Pilates equipment gives you a frame to work within that is often more helpful than mat - but can be more challenging when springs are added or taken away. Working on the machines can also target and tone specific areas of your body very efficiently.

  • While everyone responds differently, most who commit to Pilates begin to feel noticeably better after 10 sessions with many seeing visible results after around 20 sessions.
